2011-2012 FCSA :: After School Program
FCSA is an after school sports program for aspiring young scholars & athletes. We provide programs that encourage good sportsmanship, teamwork, a positive attitude and mutual respect. We promote life skills development by providing a safe place for youth to engage in physical activity that develops their talents and self-esteem. Our program is 100% compliant with the First Lady Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” (LetsMove.gov) initiative to fight the childhood obesity epidemic that is affecting our youth. FCSA is the ONLY after school sports academy in the DMV area that has current or former NBA players & coaches teaching our kids EVERYDAY! We adamantly believe ‘First Class’ teachers help create ‘First Class’ players.
The First Class Sports Academy Process:
Attendees are picked up from their school and transported to one of the FCSA facilities (The Capital Sports Complex – 6417 Marlboro Pike District Heights, MD).
Upon arrival at the facility Children attend a supervised mandatory homework/study hall session. All homework will be checked by one of our qualified staff members. We welcome our parents to identify certain academic areas that their child may need assistance in extra work will be provided in those areas.
Once your child’s homework is completed, the children are taken to the gymnasium to participate in a daily 75-90 minute basketball skills clinic.
After the daily skills clinic, attendees have open-gym until they’re picked up 6:30pm.
FCSA provides each parent with monthly assessments of their child’s/children’s progress.
Tuition:
$400 per month (includes school pick-up service)
$300 per month (parent drop-off their child/children)
$50 Registration Fee
