2011-2012 FCSA :: After School Program
FCSA is an after school sports program for aspiring young scholars & athletes. We provide programs that encourage good sportsmanship, teamwork, a positive attitude and mutual respect. We promote life skills development by providing a safe place for youth to engage in physical activity that develops their talents and self-esteem. Our program is 100% compliant with the First Lady Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” (LetsMove.gov) initiative to fight the childhood obesity epidemic that is affecting our youth. FCSA is the ONLY after school sports academy in the DMV area that has current or former NBA players & coaches teaching our kids EVERYDAY! We adamantly believe ‘First Class’ teachers help create ‘First Class’ players.
The First Class Sports Academy Process:
Attendees are picked up from their school and transported to one of the FCSA facilities (The Capital Sports Complex – 6417 Marlboro Pike District Heights, MD).
Upon arrival at the facility Children attend a supervised mandatory homework/study hall session. All homework will be checked by one of our qualified staff members. We welcome our parents to identify certain academic areas that their child may need assistance in extra work will be provided in those areas.
Once your child’s homework is completed, the children are taken to the gymnasium to participate in a daily 75-90 minute basketball skills clinic.
After the daily skills clinic, attendees have open-gym until they’re picked up 6:30pm.
FCSA provides each parent with monthly assessments of their child’s/children’s progress.
Tuition:
$400 per month (includes school pick-up service)
$300 per month (parent drop-off their child/children)
$50 Registration Fee

FCSA Staff – Meet Our Cheerleading Coach Kimberly Chenevert
Kimberly Chenevert has been a vital part of a cheerleading organization her entire life. She was born to cheer, at the young age of 4, she started her career as a mascot at Rhein Mein Air Force Base in Germany. She was their mascot for two years. Kimberly then went on to become a cheerleader at Crawford Elementary at Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska. She participated at Crawford for two years and from there she continued her cheer career well into her adulthood. Kimberly cheered on the collegiate level at LeMoyne-Owen College in Memphis, TN. This accomplishment alone is one that many cheerleaders dream of achieving.
Kimberly’s passion and love for cheerleading steered her professional career. She has trained and coached cheerleaders since 2000. She has coached cheerleaders from the ages of six to twenty-three. Kimberly even coached at her alma mater from 2009-2010.
Kimberly Chenevert has excelled as a cheerleader and a coach due to her passion. She has dedicated almost her entire life to this prestigious sport. Kimberly is the epitome of cheer.

Summer is approaching and the kids will be out of school. Have you thought about a Camp for your child to attend? Where personal skills will be developed as well as their tumbling, flexibility, and cheering fundamentals. Then First Class Sports Academy is the camp for your child(ren) (girls and boys).
